Workers Compensation

Workers’ compensation is insurance that provides cash benefits and/or medical care for workers who are injured or become ill as a direct result of their job. Employers pay premiums, and when there is a claim, the insurance company checks to see what benefits are owed, and then pays the injured party.

You, as the injured worker, are the injured party receiving the workers’ compensation benefits. Workers compensation insurance protects both the employee and the employer.
